About PDFQuick

PDFQuick is a small collection of PDF and file utilities that run entirely inside your web browser. No accounts, no uploads and no artificial limits.

Why we built it

Most free PDF websites work the same way: you upload a document to a server, a queue processes it, and you download the result — often behind a signup wall or a daily task limit. For an invoice that may be fine. For a contract, a medical record or an ID scan, it is a lot of trust to hand over for a two-second task.

Modern browsers can do this work themselves. PDFQuick uses open-source libraries — pdf-lib, pdf.js, JSZip, jsPDF and mammoth — running as JavaScript on your own device. The file never travels over the network, which also means there is no upload wait.

What we will not claim

We do not advertise military-grade encryption, because there is no transfer to encrypt. We do not promise that your files are deleted from our servers within an hour, because they were never on our servers. And we do not show fake progress bars or invented statistics — when a tool reports that your PDF shrank by 62%, that number was measured from the actual output file.

The limits, stated plainly

  • Processing speed and maximum file size depend on your device's memory, not on our infrastructure.
  • Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked in your own PDF reader first.
  • Scanned documents have no text layer; tools that need text cannot read them and we do not offer OCR.
  • PDF to Word preserves text and paragraphs, not columns, tables or images.

How PDFQuick is funded

The site is free and supported by advertising. Ad and analytics scripts only load if you allow them in your privacy preferences — decline them and the tools still work exactly the same.
