Which formats can I convert from?

JPG, PNG and WebP. Support depends on your browser, and every modern browser reads all three.

Will transparency survive?

Yes when converting to PNG or WebP. JPG and BMP have no transparency, so those areas become white.

Does converting reduce quality?

Converting to PNG or BMP is lossless. JPG and WebP re-compress the picture, so use a high quality setting for important images.

Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?

Not yet — browsers cannot read HEIC. Set your iPhone camera to 'Most Compatible' to capture JPG instead.
